ABOUT THIS SITE

This is a case study on the use of the hashtag and it's expansion into popular culture.  In this website, Henry Jenkins' concepts of participatory culture and spreadability are closely analyzed to understand the hashtag as it is explored through different campaigns, media platforms and the all encompassing Internet.

 

More specifically, the hashtag will be studied through the Bud Light campaign, "#UpForWhatever."
